WWE Should Reinstate Hulk Hogan

You can't erase the legacy of Hulk Hogan!
The WWE made a big mistake when they not only terminated his contract, but decided to erase his legacy from their history.
This is no small task.
Removing Hulk Hogan from web sites, video archives and other promotional products is nearly impossible without erasing the very DNA of the WWE itself. Hogan is, by far, the most recognizable wrestler in the history of the WWF & WWE. Even people who've never watched wrestling know who he is.
Simply stated, removing Hulk Hogan from the history of the WWE is not only unfair to Hulk Hogan, who played a huge role in the explosive growth of the WWE, but it's unfair to fans who have followed him for over 3 decades.
When Rowdy Roddy Piper passed away a few weeks ago, the WWE played clips of his most memorable moments. As I watched the clips, I couldn't help but wonder how hard it was for the video editor to leave out clips that included Hogan. Many of Piper's best moments were shared with Hogan, including the main event at the first Wrestlemania.
What's worse was that Hogan was unable to attend or speak at the WWE's tribute event for Piper, in spite of their strong friendship outside the ring. That's just plain wrong.
What's really strange is that the WWE made this move as a knee jerk reaction to leaked recordings which included racist remarks made in a private conversation that Hogan made over 7 years ago. While the remarks were clearly offensive, he did make them in private.
While that doesn't excuse the remarks he has expressed deep remorse for having said them. There was never any public outcry over the remarks, and nobody demanded his termination. If anything, most of the comments from the black community were sympathetic and supportive because he has always had great relationships with people of all races.
What bothers me most is that by trying to erase Hulk Hogan from their history, they are depriving younger generations from knowing the complete story of Hulk Hogan and the WWE. They won't see clips of their greatest champion in action, or see how he inspired a generation of kids to "Say their prayers and eat their vitamins", in order to grow up to be great Americans.
Hogan hasn't given up yet. In a recent interview he said:
“I want to be 80 years old and still connected to this business. It’s all I’ve ever known. I dream about wrestling. I watch it over and over again. So for my whole life to be taken away from me? Like I never existed? Like Hulk Hogan’s never been a wrestler? I just can’t believe everything I worked for my whole life is gone.”
This reminds me of what the MLB did to Pete Rose. It's one thing to fire him from being a manager, but keeping him out of the Click here deprives generations of fans from fully recognizing him as one of the greatest players in history.
It's funny how the WWE made such a drastic decisions so quickly, before any public backlash, meanwhile they showed patience when WWE Hall of Famer SuperFly Jimmy Snuka was arrested for murder.
