Laser Pointer Drone For Cats

Cats love laser pointers.
About 20 years ago, laser pointers were expensive tools used by savvy professors or other public speakers. Because they were so expensive, just the fact that the presenter used one in immediately gave the speaker a boost in credibility.
Eventually prices came down, but by then people stopped using them in presentations, so the demand dropped... until people eventually found a new use for them, entertaining cats. Cats simply can't resist the hypnotic spell of little red dot. They will chase the little bugger around until they are completely tired out. The trouble is, as the cat tires out, so does my arm from waving it around.
Now that drones are becoming so popular, I think a drone with a laser pointer would be a big hit for cat owners. Since most of them are completely automated, they would be able to fly all around the house with a laser pointer, not only giving the cat the thrill of following the little red dot, but the thrill of following the drone. In fact, if they can make drones that look like birds, your cat will absolutely lose it's mind.
Just after I wrote this, I realized there is one potential drawback... the end of human life as we know it.
As I visualized what a drone with a laser pointer would look like, I realized that it reminded me of the opening scenes from the original Terminator movie, where drones hunted down the entire human population.
Back in the 80s, that was completely science fiction, but it makes you think about what would happen if these kinds of drones were bigger. Now that I think about it, they already do, and they actually use them on the battlefield. Spooky.
